They are combining their various talents and working together to advance the Rhineland region. These are the goals of the Metropolregion Rheinland association:

digitalization, infrastructure, local marketing. Many of the challenges involved can be addressed only through cooperative action. The Rhineland region as a whole is stronger than the individual local authorities and institutions. In view of this fact, the municipal and district authorities, chambers of commerce and industry, chambers of trades, the urban region of Aachen, and the Rhineland Regional Association have joined together to form the Metropolregion Rheinland association. This cooperation is based on their shared understanding that all of the partners are operating on an equal footing and dealing with one another at eye level.

The Rhineland, as a metropolitan region, has the opportunity to play an outstanding role in the global competition for people, ideas, settlement, and investment. The initiators of the Metropolregion Rheinland association want to take advantage of this opportunity.
